YSA OUTING AND HELPING HANDS EVENT

More than expected came for the YSA outing.

YSA gathered in the chapel prior to departing for botanical garden trip. Some are more photo-conscious than others.

They had a second bus coming, but many had to stand for the three hour drive to the gardens.

The same day a Helping Hands event sponsored by our ward went to a Senior Care facility. Food and charbon were among the donations offered to the center. Loading the charbon bundle into our truck.

Everyone lends a hand.

Brother Grana, Church controller at Temporal Affairs, and Aime Ngoy, our Bishop. Food for the seniors.

The happy helpers.

Some of the inhabitants of the senior care center. Wash drying on the grass.

The Grana girls. They are hard workers.

He is 107.

Weeding the grounds.

Youth weeding.

View of the building and yard.

The kitchen stove before.

Sweeping.

Cleaning a hallway.

The stove after.

The Bishop and youth.

The women vacated their rooms while they were cleaned. They sang a song for us.

She claimed to be 115, but was probably in her eighties.

The volunteers.

Volunteers with the seniors.

The donated food and charbon.

This man was sporting a cub scout shirt from the USA.

He wore it well. Proof that USA donations make it to the DRC.
