POINTE NOIRE WEEK 3

Héritier, one of our part-time night guards, notice he is bundled up for the night when it may drop into the high seventies or low eighties. He has since gotten a job as a chauffeur and is in training.

Sister Wheatley in a hurry the last days before departing Pointe Noire. The printer was not cooperating.

Time to go.

Goodbye to a guardian.

Closing the door for the last time.

Unloading baggage from the truck at the airport, which is five minutes from the house. They made it home safely after two amazing years serving the members in Pointe Noire, who love them dearly.

Waiting for an investigator.

Waiting in the garden for an appointment to arrive on a day working with Elder Brockbank before his companion arrived from Cameroon.

A little tentative, but curious.

Waiting for the investigator.

Making a follow-up appointment.

Our amazing guard, Patrice. He is never idle. When we return he immediately cleans the car. Every morning he goes with me to get 18 bidons of water for the cistern from the Church well. He arrives at 6h00 and leaves at 17h00 every day but Sunday and we pay him a pittance, and would like to give him a raise. He gardens in the pots around the house, sweeps, the outside and often reads and studies the magazines and books we supply him. Notice his T shirt.

Missionaries during the break from General Conference at the Chapel. We spent six hours on Saturday and four on Sunday listening to General Conference in French.

Elders Van Ausdal, Garland, and Baker, L-R

Members and missionaries. Elders Brockbank and Morin on the left.

Conference projected in the Chapel. Elders Morin and Ntambwe from the back.
