SUE'S BIRTHDAY

On Sue's birthday we visited several handicraft displays and souvenir sales outlets. We were together with the Gates and Moons. This one was called Boboto. Above the sales floor we found a display about local history and art. A mechanical skeleton was operating a sewing machine. The loft was a former cotton processing factory.

Pottery art on the pedestals, paintings, and photos on the walls.

Sister Gates bought this doll for grandchildren.

Contemplating some mobiles.

We stopped at the Nouvelle Patisserie for a bite.

I promised her Flan, which was delicious. She later made some at home which didn't look anything like these but tasted just as good.

I was surprised to see this turkey at the market.

This the public square commemorating the DRC independence day. The fountains were recently renovated for the 30th, and were operating on Sue's B-day, the 29th, in her honor, of course.

Leopard is a popular symbol here.
